How long will therapy last?

The length of therapy differs widely, depending on the issues you are looking to address. Therapy can be short term or long term. We will assess your need during our consultation call.

What is therapy like?

Therapy is a collaborative relationship between the therapist and the client. We often start by checking in on how you have been doing since our last appointment, address your goals, explore skills for use in your day to day life, and reflect on your progress. During our first appointment we will identify what you wish to get out of our time together. We will create goals from that conversation, that will serve to orient our work together.

How often are sessions?

Therapy sessions are generally weekly or every two weeks. As our work progresses, there are options to reduce frequency as needed. Coaching and group therapy frequencies vary.

Do you provide telehealth or in-person therapy?

I provide both! I have an office in East Providence, Rhode Island, where I see clients in person. I also have a HIPPA secure electronic platform that I use to meet with folks via video appointments, if that is preferred or if you are not local to Rhode Island.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes! Therapy is a confidential space to explore anything that concerns you in your past or present. There are a few exceptions to confidentiality that we can explore in our consult call. These primarily include the threat to harm oneself or another, suspected abuse of a minor or elderly adult, and the therapist being subpoenaed by a court order.

Do you prescribe medication?

I am not a prescribing provider. I can provide referrals to prescribers if that is deemed appropriate during our work together.

INSURANCE + COST

I do not accept health insurance.

I choose to work with you as an individual, not for healthcare companies that prioritize profit over person.

I believe that the most effective therapy tailors each treatment plan to meet your unique needs, as opposed to the rigid guidelines of your insurance company. However, I do provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. If your policy covers out-of-network psychotherapy, you may be eligible for up to 80% reimbursement. You are advised to contact your insurance and confirm this before starting therapy if you wish to be reimbursed.

Therapy Investment

Invest in yourself, your relationships, and your future!

Therapy is an investment of time, energy and money. My fee is $300 for 50 minute sessions. Sessions can occur weekly or every 2 weeks depending on your needs and goals. I also offer intensive therapy and short-term coaching. Inquire to learn more.

As a therapist, I take your investment seriously and do a significant amount of behind-the-scenes work outside of our sessions so that I may serve you better. This includes attending advanced trainings, aquiring specialized certifications, reading, learning, consulting with other providers, gathering resources, and preparing for our time together.

When you choose therapy with me, I commit to you. I ask you to be equally as invested.
