It is widely known that you need more training to do just about any other job than you do to become a parent. Many new parents find themselves overwhelmed with lack of experience in the caretaking of a newborn. I provide you with practical guidance and education on bonding with your baby through the early months.

OBJECTIVES

I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT getting HIGH QUALITY SUPPORT for yourself, As a new parent, HAS THE POWER TO CHANGE the next GENERATION!

Think about it: you are the cornerstone for your child’s foundational experience of the world. You are also a human with limitations and challenges and when you come up against those, you need care for yourself. The reality is, you can’t show up well for your child if you aren’t first showing up for yourself. So, when you find yourself in a time of transition, challenge, or growth, the best thing you can do for you and your child is to reach out for help. That help positions you and subsequently your child to thrive. The positive impacts are endless.

Postpartum Intensives are intended to be an incubator of initial support at the pivotal start of your parenting journey. Our healthcare system is wildly under-supportive of new parents, particularly birthing people. You are in and out of the hospital as quickly as possible, are possibly handed some drugs, and told to come back in 6 weeks. Birthing a child and potentially undergoing major surgery is an extraordinary event that shifts your physical, mental, and hormonal health dramatically. It’s inconceivable that you should be expected to navigate your own recovery, let alone learn to take care of a newborn without a team of medical providers consistently attending to you. You deserve excellent, consistent care.

Posptartum intensives offer you the following:

Nourishing care for your body and mind, from the comfort of your own home. No need to get out of your pajamas or tidy your space. This is a judgement free service.

Understanding of your particular mental health status and skills to regulate your nervous system as your body and brain adjust to a new reality.

Confidence that you are capable of providing excellent care to yourself and your newborn as you both transition into a new existence.

The opportunity to work with me individually on an as-needed or ongoing basis after your intensive.

An e-book that provides tangible reference sheets to track perinatal moods, offers local provider recommendations, and summarizes developmental milestones for your baby.

Expert education from a licensed therapist with extensive experience in newborn and maternal care and specialized therapy for the postpartum period.
